The Production Operator 1 is responsible for operating and monitoring chemical processing equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient production, packaging, and quality of chemical products for industrial and aerospace applications, while adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records, assisting with equipment maintenance, and collaborating with team members to optimize processes. •Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred•
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant technical or educational training preferred. Prior experience as a Chemical Process Operator, Production Technician, or in a similar industrial role is highly desirable. Must have or obtain and maintain forklift certification Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to react quickly to process irregularities. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong communication and team collaboration skills. Able to work in varying temperatures and environments, including elevated platforms. Standing, walking, and occasionally lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs) are required. Availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Able to interpret and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, and safety guidelines. Able to use rudimentary math skills in various production settings including understanding units of measurements and conversion factors. Must learn and comply with those parts of our AS9100 Rev D Quality Management System applicable to Production. Having a working knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S ideology in order to maintain a neat and orderly workplace and warehouse is a plus.

Process Operation:
Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment, mixing tanks, including pumps, compressors, and filters, to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Chemical Production:
Ensure the safe and effective production by the accurate addition of raw materials and adherence to standard operating procedures to create quality chemical products with supervision of products for industrial and aerospace applications.
Chemical Packaging:
Ensure the safe and accurate packaging of chemical products with supervision.
Monitoring:
Continuously monitor production processes through control panels, gauges, and instrumentation to detect any operational issues and make necessary adjustments.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment, and participate in safety drills and inspections.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment performance, and safety inspections as required by company policies and regulatory standards.
Maintenance Support:
Assist in the routine maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in proper working condition and free from defects.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to improve processes, optimize production, and resolve issues quickly.
Environmental Compliance:
Ensure that all chemical processes comply with environmental regulations, including waste disposal, emissions control, and adherence to safety standards. Perform all other duties as assigned.
