Job Description
Job Summary A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced CNC Programmer in Adelanto, CA. This role is ideal for a skilled CNC professional who is confident with machine setup, operation, program editing, precision measurement, and producing high-quality machined components to exact specifications. The position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule in a manufacturing environment where quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement are valued. Candidates who enjoy hands-on machining, troubleshooting, and working with supportive production, engineering, and quality teams will be well aligned with this opportunity. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete CNC machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, workholding, and program verification.
- Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, horizontal mills, vertical boring mills, and related CNC equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, tolerances, and work instructions.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Identify machining, tooling, programming, or quality issues and collaborate with supervisors, engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate production records, complete inspection documentation, perform routine machine care, and follow all safety and ISO quality procedures. Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $25 to $30 per hour.
- Schedule options: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform complete setup and operation of CNC machining equipment for precision production work.
- Edit CNC programs and verify programs prior to production.
- Produce parts to engineering drawings, tolerances, and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, quality, and setup issues to support productivity and accuracy.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience with complete CNC machine setup and operation.
- Experience editing CNC programs is required.
- Strong experience with CNC milling, CNC turning, horizontal milling, and vertical boring mills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and tolerances.
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and metrology practices.
- Ability to select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
- Technical school training or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team environment.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift, bend, reach, lift, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with conventional milling and turning.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with ISO quality procedures.
- Experience supporting process improvements related to machining efficiency, quality, and productivity.
