In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision multi material components for aerospace, defense, hydraulics, and maritime communications . You will ensure that all parts meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols and production schedules. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes. Your expertise in CNC machine setup, and measurement will drive efficiency and excellence on the shop floor. We are a prototype production shop with multiple set ups in a shift. Responsibilities Set up CNC milling machines, including loading tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to blueprints and specifications Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate part production Operate CNC machines safely while monitoring machining processes for quality and efficiency Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions Conduct machine calibration, tool changes, and adjustments during production runs to maintain tight tolerances Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming errors, or mechanical problems; perform manual machining or grinding as needed for repairs or finishing Maintain detailed documentation of setups, inspections, and production logs in compliance with quality standards Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing setups and reducing waste through efficient tooling and process improvements Skills Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation including GD&T principles Familiarity with Doosan/Fanuc controls is a plus Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and other precision instruments Understanding of CNC quality inspection processes and measurement for quality control purposes Knowledge of metal machining processes such as milling, horizontal saws, grinding and grinding tools Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances necessary for precise manufacturing Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency on the shop floor Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively Join our team if you're passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your expertise in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
