Surge Custom Woodworks is growing. We are looking for skilled production professionals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a team that delivers quality craftsmanship on every project. About the Position We are hiring a CNC Operator to set up and run our CNC router in a busy custom cabinet and woodworking shop. You will produce precision-cut components for residential and commercial cabinetry projects, working with high-quality panel materials in a hands-on production environment. What You Will Do Set up and operate the CNC router, including program loading, tool changes, and zero-point calibration Cut, drill, and profile cabinet components from plywood, MDF, melamine, and other panel materials Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy Monitor machine performance and make minor offset or feed rate adjustments during production runs Maintain production logs for completed parts, scrap, and downtime Perform pre-shift and post-shift machine inspections, routine cleaning, and basic maintenance Stage cut components for downstream production and communicate material or tooling needs to the supervisor Follow all shop safety protocols, including PPE, machine guarding, and housekeeping standards What We Are Looking For Minimum 1 year of CNC machine operation experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or cabinet shop Familiarity with CNC router components: spindle, tooling, vacuum hold-down, and control panel Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and CNC program files Basic understanding of CNC programming; ability to load programs and make minor adjustments Knowledge of wood-based panel materials and their machining characteristics Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, punctual, and able to work at a pace in a production environment High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training is a plus Compensation and Schedule Specific schedule to be confirmed during the interview Opportunity to grow with a company that values skill and craftsmanship How to Apply Send your resume or a brief description of your experience to surgecw2024@gmail.com
