  • _ •What you'll be doing as a
Senior CNC Setup Operator:
  • + Follows drawings and work orders and sets up and operates one or more machines and machining centers to machine forgings, castings, and bar stock + Performs duties involving turning, facing, deburring, boring, drilling, milling, spot-facing, reaming, tapping, sawing, EDM, threading, slotting, grooving, and grinding using appropriate machine controls as required.
Uses DNC and other related tools to load CNC programs and operate CNC machines + Uses drawings and precision measuring instruments to ensure proper cuts are made within required tolerances through self-inspection and quality verification + Utilizes total quality control concepts and procedures (e.g., SPC charting) by using appropriate measuring and inspection instruments to ensure parts are within required tolerances + Assists in the training of CNC Setup Operators and Turning Center Operators + Participates in and provides feedback on program prove-outs, manufacturing planning, and production scheduling to meet internal and external customer requirements + Contributes to setup sheet design, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programming, and process design to ensure safe and efficient machining methods + Participates in and provides feedback on tool design and concurrent engineering activities + Demonstrates leadership skills that promote teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility + Maintains daily production records + Keeps the work area clean and organized. May perform minor repairs, servicing, cleaning, and operator-assigned preventive maintenance on equipment and work areas + Performs all tasks in a timely, safe, and accurate manner to avoid delays in operations + Immediately reports to management any inability to meet job standards or production requirements

  • Job requirements:
  • + Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady + High School Diploma or G.
E.D. equivalent required + Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence + Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees within the organization + Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference and trigonometry + Ability to apply intermediate mathematical concepts to practical situations + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions + Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagrammatic form and to deal with several abstract and concrete variables + Background Check and Drug Test Required
