Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of the principles of CNC machining and be able to work independently and efficiently. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and vertical Mills to produce parts, inspect parts for accuracy, and making necessary adjustments to the machine settings. CNC Lathe Setup persons must also be able to read blueprints and schematics, as well as have a good understanding of basic math and trigonometry. Responsibilities included but not limited to: Perform basic maintenance on the machine, such as lubrication and cleaning. Perform complete setups of CNC Lathes and/or CNC Vertical Mills Read and edit programs. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents. Set up and adjust the machine for each job. Check parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications. Perform 1st parts inspection reports prior to submitting first articles to Q.C. Make adjustments to the machine as needed. Must be proficient with CNC tooling. Must have knowledge of basic metals and plastics. (required for hire) Must have own tools to perform setups and basic measuring tools to check machined parts. Strong organization skills required.
