CNC Mill Set-Up Operator Climate-Controlled Shop | Fanuc Controls | Direct Hire Opportunity Looking for a machinist role where your setup skills are valued? Join a growing, family-oriented machine shop operating modern CNC equipment in a temperature-controlled facility . We're seeking an experienced CNC Mill Set-Up Operator who can confidently set up, troubleshoot, and edit programs on Fanuc-controlled machines. What You'll Do ✅ Set up and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC mills, including Doosan machines ✅ Load, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code and M-Code programs at the machine ✅ Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments ✅ Read blueprints and job orders to determine machining requirements ✅ Conduct in-process and final inspections using micrometers and precision measuring tools ✅ Troubleshoot machine and program issues to minimize downtime ✅ Work with 2-axis and 4-axis equipment and live tooling ✅ Maintain quality, safety, and production standards What We're Looking For 5+ years of CNC milling experience Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls Experience editing G-Code and M-Code at the machine Ability to perform complete machine setups independently Blueprint reading and inspection experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
