Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machine operation, technical drawing interpretation, and measurement tools will ensure that production meets quality standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities Set up CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other industrial equipment based on technical drawings and production specifications. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance. Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication of parts. Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on CNC equipment to minimize downtime. Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to proper procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear. Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, fabrication processes, and quality control measures to meet production goals. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, or press brake machines within a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc or similar), CAM programming, and interpreting technical drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Ability to read blueprints and mechanical blueprints accurately for machining processes. Familiarity with shop math, factory safety standards, and the use of precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers. Mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting industrial equipment issues efficiently. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), tooling setup, assembly line processes, and packaging procedures is a plus. Basic computer skills including SolidWorks or CAD software for design review is desirable. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to ensure quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
