Precision CNC Milling Operator - Rod-Form Manufacturing Alinabal - Manufacturing Facilities Milford, CT Job Details Temp-to-hire | Full-time $21 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Milling machines Full Job Description Are you the operator who can hold the line on tolerance? Do you enjoy cracking tough setups, reading a drawing once and knowing exactly how to stage the job, and finding that extra second in cycle time without sacrificing quality? If so, you'll thrive in this second-shift, temp-to-perm opportunity running CNC mills to produce rod-formed components. Your challenge Own end-to-end milling operations: setup, first-article verification, production, and documentation. Interpret prints and GD&T to ensure features meet form, fit, and function. Monitor machines, correct drift, and fine-tune feeds/speeds for consistent results. Measure with precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and record inspections. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to keep spindles turning. Partner with Engineering and Quality to improve tooling strategies and methods. Coach peers on safe work practices and effective changeovers. What you bring 2+ years of CNC milling experience; rod-forming or precision machining background preferred. Ability to read drawings and apply GD&T in real time on the shop floor. Mechanical aptitude and a track record of practical problem-solving. Hands-on skill with micrometers, calipers, and other hand metrology. Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code is a plus. Stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and handle repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for quality. On the floor Factory work environment with regular collaboration across production and warehouse areas. Physical activity includes walking, twisting, standing, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. or higher.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday; overtime flexibility as needed. Role is second shift and temp-to-perm.
Travel:
Occasional trips for supplier visits, conferences, and coordination with other facilities. Toolbox you'll use
