This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, ensuring first-piece and in-process inspections are completed, and troubleshooting issues to make continuous improvements. The machinist will assist in root cause analysis to resolve problems, while also training and mentoring machine operators as needed. Maintenance of tooling and equipment, along with completing required daily documentation, is essential. The CNC Setup Machinist will ensure all safety protocols and company policies are strictly adhered to, reporting any infractions or concerns to management. This position may also include performing other related tasks as assigned to support production goals and overall efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform set up and operate CNC machines both Lathe and Mill Read and interpret blueprints. Follow and perform first piece and in-process inspection. Identify problems and make improvements (assist in root cause analysis). Train machine operators, as needed. Maintain tooling and equipment related to the operations. Review and complete required daily documentation. Complete other related or assigned tasks, as needed. Maintain all safety and employee policies and report any infractions or concerns to management.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Able to use basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers Maintain all safety and employee policies and report any infractions or concerns to management.
