Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
Schultz Engineered Products is seeking a dependable, hands-on CNC Machine Operator to support our manufacturing operation. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things right, uses common sense, shows up every day ready to work, is willing to learn and grow, and can be counted on to keep production moving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and monitor CNC machinery to produce accurate, quality parts
  • Load material, run established programs and make basic machine adjustments as needed
  • Prepare raw materials for machining as needed, including measuring and cutting material to required dimensions.
  • Inspect finished parts using standard measuring tools
  • Deburr, clean, organize and route completed parts to the next stage of production
  • Identify and report machining, tooling or quality issues
  • Complete required production reports, job documentation and other records accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine machine care
  • Follow drawings, shop procedures and production priorities
  • Pitch in with other manufacturing and shop tasks when needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • CNC or machine shop experience
  • Mechanically inclined with good practical judgment and common sense
  • Experience and mechanical aptitude to safely operate basic shop equipment, including saws and other material-cutting tools
  • Takes pride in their work and pays attention to the details
  • Reliable attendance — someone who shows up on time, every day, ready to work
  • Willing to take responsibility for their work and see a job through
  • Able to work independently without needing constant direction
  • Comfortable using calipers, micrometers and other basic measuring tools
  • Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move materials and parts

Pay:
$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
