Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic Hydraulic Workshop team as a CNC Machine Operator, where you'll play a vital role in manufacturing precision hydraulic components and assemblies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced CNC machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other industrial equipment. You will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet strict specifications. Responsibilities Operate and program CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CAM programming software to produce hydraulic components with high precision. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate machining processes. Conduct dimensional measurements using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify part specifications. Set up tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters according to production requirements while adhering to safety standards. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Maintain detailed records of machine operations, quality checks, and production logs for traceability. Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks using hand tools, shop math skills, and assembly techniques to ensure seamless workflow. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machining equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial machinery within a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints as well as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in CNC machinery. Hands-on experience with CAM programming software for toolpath generation and CNC programming. Ability to use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality control purposes. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments along with the ability to follow strict safety protocols. Basic shop math skills necessary for fabrication and assembly tasks; experience with SolidWorks or CAD software is a plus. Warehouse experience or materials handling background is advantageous for efficient workflow management.
