Job Description

Summary of Position Mission 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM Shift Responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision component for firearms. This role will carry out production, quality and daily machine maintenance activities on the CNC machine, with a focus on attention to detail, adherence to safety standards and a strong understanding of machining processes. Responsibilities Operates CNC Machine in accordance with work order, operating and maintenance instructions and quality plans. Keeps work bench and areas around the machine clean, organized and free of metal shavings. Deburrs and inspects manufactured parts using hard gages and CMM to assure 100% conformity to part print and specifications Conducts set up and adjustments to machine settings to ensure proper operations Reports any non conformances to production supervisor, identifies the defective part and set the part aside in the scrap box with proper QC reports and updates quantity on ERP. Changes cutting tools on the CNC machine and installing the correct tool on the machine. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Qualifications & Knowledge Required To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2+ Years experience operating CNC machines High school diploma or equivalent required Technical certification or associate degree in CNC machining or related field preferred by not required Great computer and technical skills Excellent attention to detail. Strong team player Must be self-motivated
