Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
(Brief summary of the purpose and objective of the position) Responsible for operating, inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks of milling and/or lathing.
Essential Functions:
(Individual tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position accounting for highest % of time) Use blueprints, hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, and rulers to perform duties. Set-up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes in accordance with process work instructions. Perform material handling. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting. Verify conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Perform user maintenance and daily inspection of assigned machinery. Perform tool changes and operate Zoller or similar preset and measuring equipment. Complete tool changes and tool offset adjustments as needed to ensure quality. Perform work assignments with the highest level of efficiency and quality. Train personnel to operate CNC mill and lathe processes. Observe all safety rules and regulations. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Knowledge of basic math is required. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to use precision measurement tools. Perform jobs with little supervision. Understand machine technology and terminology. Able to read blueprints and CMM reports. Must be detail oriented. Ability to work in a team environment Good communication skills Minimum three years of CNC manufacturing machining experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certificate required. In lieu of certificate, combined education and demonstrated CNC knowledge and skills may be considered. Moderate mathematical skills required. Previous experience operating a CNC mill and lathe required. 2nd shift - 4pm through 2:30am Monday through Thursday
