CNC Operator Job Description Join a leading manufacturer in the automotive industry, specializing in valve timing controls for cars. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC lathes and mills within a production environment. You will ensure the quality of parts through regular checks and perform necessary maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Operate and monitor a line of 3-5 CNC machines. Perform quality checks using plug gauges, micrometers, and calipers. Conduct daily preventative maintenance tasks, including basic cleaning, changing coolant/oil, and greasing. Handle minor tool changes, such as changing an insert or bar in a lathe. Make necessary offsets and adjustments to machines. Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of CNC operating experience. 1 year of experience with quality tools like calipers and micrometers. Experience performing offsets and adjustments. Strong attention to detail. Understanding of decimals. Comfortable lifting up to 40lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a production environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loganville, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
