Job Description

Bring your CNC expertise to a fast-paced manufacturing environment near the Chicago/O'Hare area, where high-mix machining and hands-on setup work make every shift matter. This CNC Milling Operator opportunity is a great fit for experienced machinists who want real independence, frequent changeovers, and the chance to advance into a Lead role. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Milling Operator position include: 3-5 years of CNC mill setup/operator experience in a job shop or high-mix environment, independently setting up and running parts. Ability to set up and run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines, including tooling, offsets, and first-part inspection. Hands-on experience using Fanuc CNC controls; Okuma OSP experience is a plus. Experience machining tool steels and other challenging materials. Comfort machining parts approximately ½ inch to 22 inches in diameter, with frequent changeovers and a changing workload. Read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and edit programs as needed (tool numbers, offsets, and work-shift settings). Maintain accurate part counts and records, and select/install proper tooling and fixtures per program instructions. Maintain a clean, safe workspace and work independently while collaborating with the team.
Salary:
$20-$30/hr dependent on qualifications.
