This position combines hands-on CNC machine operation with leadership responsibilities, helping oversee nightly production activities, support team members, and ensure quality and productivity goals are met.
Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM, including a 30-minute lunch break. We are a highly team-oriented organization with a growth mindset and a strong commitment to promoting from within. Key Responsibilities Production Leadership Lead and support 3rd shift production activities to ensure production goals are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for shift personnel and communicate effectively with management and other departments. Train, mentor, and assist CNC operators as needed. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment while maintaining accountability and productivity. Quality Control Conduct regular inspections of produced parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications. Ensure all quality standards and procedures are consistently followed. Adjustments and Troubleshooting Make adjustments to tool offsets, speeds, feeds, and other machine parameters as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve machine, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime. Material Handling Load raw materials into machines and remove finished parts, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement. Monitor material usage and communicate any shortages or concerns. Maintenance and Cleaning Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn tooling or components. Identify maintenance concerns and communicate them appropriately. Documentation Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, tool changes, quality inspections, and shift performance. Complete shift reports and communicate important information to incoming personnel and management. Safety Compliance Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Promote a safe work environment and promptly report any safety concerns or incidents. Collaboration Work closely with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and production staff to meet company objectives and resolve production challenges. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous CNC machining experience required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar manufacturing role. Knowledge of G-code programming is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to use precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to effectively lead, train, and motivate team members. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Physical stamina and dexterity to handle materials and operate machinery for extended periods. Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures and protocols. Why Join MDi-co?
