This position requires strong blueprint reading, precision measurement, and the ability to consistently produce parts within specified tolerances. Requirements of the CNC Lathe Operator 3+ years of hands-on manual machining experience, preferably with vertical and horizontal turret lathes Strong experience machining various grades of steel, including A36, 1018, 1045, 4140, 304, and 316 Ability to read and interpret blueprints, production orders, and machining specifications Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and digital/dial readouts to measure and verify tolerances Ability to hold tight tolerances and consistently meet production specifications Forklift experience preferred Ability to work independently while maintaining production standards and deadlines Responsibilities of the CNC Lathe Operator Set up and operate manual vertical and horizontal turret lathes Operate and support complementary equipment including keyseaters, mills, presses, and saws Assist with CNC lathe, CNC mill, and plasma cutting operations as needed Read blueprints and production orders to determine machining requirements Measure, mark, cut, and finish parts according to specifications Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances throughout the machining process Perform deburring, cleanup, and final inspections of completed parts Troubleshoot basic issues with manual machining equipment 1st shift: 7:00AM
•3:30PM Monday through Friday Pay is $23.00
