CNC Laser Operator 1st Shift

Position:

Laser Machine Operator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists with operation of laser, learning operation of machine; loading programs. Assists with cleaning of optics. Assists with dimensional inspections. Assists with detection of and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them. Completes all paperwork and timekeeping cards associated with the position. Maintains satisfactory performance and attendance. Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality goals. Ability to perform job in a positive, courteous, and professional manner. Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment. Performs job in a safe manner by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Good manual dexterity required. 3. Minimum of 1 year CNC Laser operation experience required. Experience in metal machining or comparable proven mechanical aptitude. 4. Must be able to read and understand training instructions, job instructions, and safety instructions, which are provided verbally and in written form in English. 5. Ability to learn new skills, adapt to change and continuously look for improvements to processes. 9. Learning to identify defects, analyze cause and resolve; and/or provide accurate information regarding problem to more experienced co-worker. 10. Observes safety standards, follows safety rules, wear specified personal protective equipment. 11. Maintains neat work area. 12. Trains to quality measures and takes corrective action when necessary to maintain quality and production standards. 13. Participates in performance improvement measures and tasks. Recommends improvements. 14. Participates in training and is accountable for learning the material and information.
