In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, programming, and setting up Mazak, Haas, or Makino CNC machines to ensure efficient and precise production of metal components. Your expertise will help us maintain high-quality standards, optimize machining processes, and meet production deadlines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements Program and Set-Up Mazak, Haas, and/or Makino Vertical and Horizontal machining centers, including installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications. Perform machine calibration, alignment, and tooling changes to ensure optimal operation. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools for quality control purposes. Monitor machining processes during production runs to detect issues and make real-time adjustments for quality assurance. Conduct CNC quality inspections and verify parts against blueprints Maintain proper documentation of machine setups, adjustments, and inspection results for traceability. Troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues related to CNC equipment and collaborate with maintenance or engineering teams as needed. Requirements Proven experience operating and setting up CNC machines such as milling machines, lathes, or CNC turning centers. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators for quality control. Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements and tolerances in machining processes. Knowledge of manufacturing standards including GD&T principles for part inspection. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other manual equipment safely and effectively. Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with a solid understanding of metal machining processes. Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision measurement in machining environments.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
