$23 - $32 per hour Job Details - We are on the hunt for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Operator to become a part of our dynamic engineering team. As a CNC Operator, you will be working in a fast-paced, high-tech environment where precision and attention to detail are paramount. You will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC machines, including 12 axis lathes and vertical machine centers, and ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain CNC machines and machine tools, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers to check and verify dimensions of parts. Set up, adjust, and program CNC machines according to specifications and blueprints. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Inspect and measure finished products to verify conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the machines or the manufacturing process. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and quality of output, suggesting changes to processes or equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Operator in the engineering industry. Proficient in operating a variety of CNC machines, including 12 axis lathes and vertical machine centers. In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their operation, including the use of micrometers and vernier calipers. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to work well in a team, communicating effectively with colleagues at all levels. A high level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time. Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or certification program is preferred.
