Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality production standards by independently managing machine setups and optimizing processes for complex, tight-tolerance components. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive machine setups for Swiss-style CNC equipment, including tooling, bushings, and bar feeders. Interpret complex blueprints and technical documentation to ensure exact part conformity. Perform in-process quality inspections, utilizing precision measuring tools to verify dimensions against specifications. Conduct minor program adjustments and tool offsets to maximize production efficiency and minimize scrap. Troubleshoot machining challenges, such as chatter or tool wear, to maintain consistent output. Collaborate with the production team to mentor junior operators and support continuous improvement initiatives. Uphold rigorous safety standards and maintain an organized, efficient workspace. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of hands-on experience in CNC Swiss setup. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical setup sheets. Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, and tooling geometry. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Preferred Skills Experience with Citizen, Star, or Tsugami Swiss-style machines. Background in high-volume, precision manufacturing environments. Familiarity with ISO or IATF quality management systems. Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting complex equipment.
