If you can read a complex print, debug a program under pressure, and still hit the delivery window, this role is for you. You'll own setups, operation, inspection, and troubleshooting for Swiss-style turning that feeds critical medical devices. We are willing to train CNC Lathe Operators! Can you... Turn a first-article into a stable production run by nailing offsets, tools, and changeovers? Chase micron-level accuracy using calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators? Collaborate with programmers, update setup docs through change control, and keep ERP records pristine? Coach teammates so every machine in the cell hits utilization and production targets? What you'll tackle Setups and changeovers on CNC Swiss lathes; program debugging; tool changes and machine adjustments. Operation and light maintenance of Swiss machines, plus finishing equipment and fixtures; precise burr removal. Interpretation of blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions. Electronic quality documentation; ERP work-order management and machine monitoring. Feedback to CNC programmers; keep setup documentation current under formal change control. Training and guidance for peers; continuous improvement to lift quality and delivery. Execute the plan to ensure on-time delivery to customers. What you bring on day one High School Diploma/equivalent (advanced technical training a plus). At least 5 years running Swiss-style lathes in manufacturing. Exposure to Citizen, Tsugami, or comparable Swiss platforms (preferred). Comprehensive understanding of machinery, tooling, measuring, and gauging; solid production-process knowledge. Expert-level setups; fluent in reading prints, routers, and setup files. Awareness of cosmetic and functional part requirements. Basic CNC programming knowledge. Confident communicator across production floors, technical staff, and management. Working familiarity with lean principles. Dependable execution of Supervisor direction. Commitment to company values and professional behavior. Understanding of Avalign's Quality System and Measurement Instruction Sheet layout/purpose, plus Avalign's Compliance Policies. Your toolkit
