Job Description

Cablecraft is seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up and Operator to join our team in New Haven, IN. This is a union position on our 2nd shift. All 2nd shift positions will train on 1st shift. About this
Role:
In this position, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, machining centers, and mill drill machines to meet production targets and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail- oriented, mechanically skilled, and able to work independently within a fast- paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC lathes, machining centers, and mill drill machines. Perform machine offsets, adjustments, and basic programming edits as needed. Diagnose mechanical or operational machine issues and make minor adjustments and repairs. Verify part quality using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Maintain accurate documentation of setups, productions output, and quality checks. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
Four (4) years of CNC machine set-up and operating experience required. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Must have all required hand tools. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a 2nd shift position Monday through Friday from 3:00pm- 11:00pm
Labor Grade:
15E Compensation and benefits are consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.
