We are looking for someone mechanically inclined, dependable, comfortable working independently, and interested in operating multiple pieces of CNC fabrication equipment. Our facility utilizes laser cutting, structural beam processing, tube laser cutting, plasma cutting, machining, forming, and other automated fabrication equipment. Previous CNC or manufacturing experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical ability and relevant industrial experience will also be considered. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machinery and fabrication equipment Load and unload steel and other materials Read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders Enter jobs and make adjustments at CNC machine controls Monitor production and inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and production issues Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance Operate overhead cranes and forklifts after proper training Record production and completed work Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Meet production expectations with limited supervision Qualifications CNC, machining, steel fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings Laser, plasma, structural steel, tube-processing, or saw experience is a plus Experience with measuring and inspection tools Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills Reliable attendance and attention to detail Ability to work independently Willingness to learn multiple machines Commitment to safety and quality Why Schuler Manufacturing?
