Aerospace Manufacturing Why This Role Exists This role exists to support long-term aerospace production programs at Magellan Aerospace's Haverhill facility. Grinding is a critical finishing process for flight-critical components, and this position plays a key role in achieving extremely tight tolerances and surface finish requirements. If you take pride in precision, consistency, and craftsmanship at the micron level, this role matters. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC grinding equipment in a production aerospace environment Grind parts to extremely tight tolerances ( 0.00015) Interpret blueprints, engineering instructions, and process documentation Analyze and debug new grinding methods and processes Perform calculations and verify dimensions using precision inspection equipment Inspect surface finishes and ensure compliance with aerospace requirements Indicate parts accurately and establish work offsets Monitor and maintain oil and coolant levels daily Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area Execute all work with a strong focus on productivity, quality, and repeatability Machines, Controls & Inspection You'll work with specialized CNC grinding equipment used for high-precision aerospace components.
