This is a hands on production position for someone with CNC machining experience who is comfortable operating CNC equipment, setting and changing cutting tools, making tool offsets, inspecting parts, and maintaining consistent production. We are looking for someone who understands the machining process and can recognize when something is not running correctly rather than simply loading and unloading parts. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines for production and prototype work. Load and unload parts while maintaining established production requirements. Set, change, and properly position cutting tools in CNC machines. Enter and adjust tool offsets as required. Monitor tool wear and replace cutting tools before part quality is affected. Read and understand production orders, engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements. Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and other precision inspection equipment. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections according to job requirements. Verify parts remain within specified tolerances throughout the production run. Make minor machine and tool-offset adjustments to maintain part dimensions. Identify machining problems such as tool wear, poor surface finish, dimensional changes, chatter, or abnormal machine operation. Notify the CNC Lead or appropriate supervisor when programming, setup, tooling, or quality issues require additional support. Maintain required production and quality documentation. Keep machines, tooling, work areas, and inspection equipment clean and organized. Follow established safety procedures and proper machine-operating practices. Assist with preventative maintenance and proper care of CNC equipment. Work with the CNC Lead and other team members to keep production moving efficiently. Equipment Our CNC department includes Haas CNC lathes and machining equipment, including mill-turn capability. Experience operating Haas CNC equipment and/or machines with Fanuc controls is beneficial.

CNC lathe experience is preferred. Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining tolerances. Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment. Basic understanding of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and tool wear. Ability to recognize machining or quality problems and know when assistance is required. Ability to maintain consistent quality while meeting production expectations. Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability. Experience with Haas or Fanuc-controlled CNC equipment is beneficial. Formal CNC programming experience is not required for this position. We are looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of CNC machining and tool setting and can reliably operate equipment with limited supervision once trained on our processes.
