Job Description

Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-1:30am. Work 36 hours, get paid for 40. $18.50/hour plus $1.00 shift differential. Hayes Manufacturing is looking for a 2nd shift CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) Operator/Machinist at our Fife Lake, MI location. The CNC Operator/Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computerized numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies while following customer and company policies and procedures.
What You'll Do:
Set up and operate precision equipment needed to manufacture tools and machine parts using work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, or drawings.
Inspect and test finished products:
inspect manufactured tools or parts to ensure they meet all required specifications and complete all required inspection documentation/reporting. Create programming documentation. When creating or modifying equipment programming, outline all steps in the step-by-step processes followed in programming the equipment for specific jobs. Troubleshoot production problems.
What You'll Need:
Basic knowledge of CNC machining. Basic computer knowledge. Mechanical aptitude. Verbal and written communication proficiency. Initiative and a results-driven mindset.
