CNC MACHINE OPERATOR
•2ND & 3
RD SHIFT Location:
Shelby Township, MI Job Type:
Full-Time 2nd

3:00 PM•11:00 PM 3rd

AMPay Rate:
$20-22/hr Our client, an established manufacturing company in Shelby Township, MI, is seeking experienced CNC Machine Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities.

This is a hands-on production position for candidates who have experience operating CNC equipment and understand the importance of dimensional accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate will be comfortable inspecting parts, using precision measuring equipment, monitoring machine performance, and recognizing when adjustments may be necessary. CNC programming experience is not required. What You'll DoOperate CNC production equipment safely and efficiently.

Load and unload parts while maintaining production requirements.

Monitor equipment throughout the machining process.

Perform dimensional inspections to verify parts meet specifications.

Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.

Run established CMM inspection programs as required.

Record and chart dimensional inspection data.

Monitor dimensional trends and identify potential quality concerns.

Make basic machine, process, offset, or tooling adjustments according to established procedures.

Identify machine, tooling, and process-related issues.

Perform routine equipment checks and basic machine maintenance.

Complete required production and quality documentation.

Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

What We're Looking ForPrevious CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

Basic understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing specifications.

Experience performing dimensional inspections.

Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Ability to recognize dimensional changes and potential quality issues.

Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

High-volume manufacturing experience preferred.

Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.

Ability to work either 2nd or 3rd shift.

Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in CNC machining, machine offsets, tooling changes, CMM inspection, GD&T, dimensional inspection, micrometers, calipers, gauges, or high-volume automotive manufacturing are strongly encouraged to apply.
