CNC Machine Operator Job Description This role focuses on operating CNC machinery to produce specialized metal products according to customer blueprints, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety standards in a modern, well-maintained manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines to manufacture specialized products according to production requirements. Read and interpret a variety of customer blueprints to set up and run jobs accurately. Perform visual inspections of parts and products to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met. Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and confirm that products meet customer specifications. Grind edges and surfaces as needed to achieve required finishes and tolerances. Lift materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday while following safe lifting practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. Follow all plant safety policies, including proper use of required personal protective equipment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve basic process or quality issues. Support overtime needs, including potential work on Fridays, to meet production demands when required. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of prior manufacturing experience as a machine operator. Hands-on experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and work from customer blueprints with attention to detail. Proficiency using measuring tools to check dimensions and verify product accuracy. Capability to perform visual inspections and recognize defects or nonconforming parts. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday. Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with metal fabrication processes. Commitment to following safety procedures and using required protective equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a metal fabrication or processing plant is beneficial. Familiarity with grinding tools and finishing processes is an advantage. Willingness to work assigned shifts, including 2nd shift (MondayThursday, 3:45 pm1:45 am) with a 5% shift differential. Flexibility to work overtime on Fridays when needed. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment. Why Work Here? Steel-toe footwear is required, and the dress code is casual, typically jeans and a t-shirt. Shifts include a 1st shift (MondayThursday, 6:00 am4:00 pm), a 2nd shift (MondayThursday, 3:45 pm1:45 am) with a 5% shift differential, and a weekend shift (FridaySunday, 6:00 am6:00 pm, paid for 40 hours), though current openings may vary by shift. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
