Pay is dependent on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains milling machines. Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to understand the requirements of the job. Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping. Set up and operate CNC machining centers to meet specifications. Make necessary offsets to maintain tolerances. Maintains inventory of completed products. Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects. Maintains a safe and clean workstation. Completes assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. This regards to individual safety, the safety of other employees, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace. Wears approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:
1-3 Years of machining experience preferred Ability to interpret GD&T (geometric dimenstions and tolerances) Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code Previous experience with overhead cranes and forklifts Ability to perform simple math including addition and subtraction. Ability to read basic blueprints. Knowledge of general shop procedures and rules including safety precautions. Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and work as part of a production team.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.50 per hour
