Job Description

The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) operator manufactures rigid insulation used in residential and commercial construction projects. The CNC operator prepares raw materials, loads machines, and checks finished components for quality, following instructions and pre-written programs to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Set up and program the computer responsible for the CNC machine Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and materials Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations Follows safety regulations and company guidelines Work in teams with responsibility for a single element of a larger project

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a production/manufacturing role Ability to operate CNC machinery Experience with G-code programming for CNC equipment preferred but not required Experience with AutoCAD preferred but not required Great computer and technical skills Ability to read and understand manufacturing documents, and safety guidelines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent time management skills High school diploma or GED Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for 8 + hours/day Premier Building Systems, a manufacturer of Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) and R-Shield molded polystyrene, is seeking a CNC operator to serve our Belgrade, Montana location.
