10/08/2026 Job Description Job Description The Greer Group is hiring an experienced CNC Router Programmer/Operator for a commercial signage client in Raleigh! This is an immediate opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication and has experience programming and operating CNC routers. If you have strong CNC router experience, understand CAD/CAM programming, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
Program, set up, and operate CNC routers to produce precision-cut materials for commercial signage. Create cut files and CNC programs based on individual job specifications. Use EnRoute to develop CNC programs and G-code for router operations. Set up tooling, align workpieces, and calibrate equipment for accurate production. Review work orders, drawings, and specifications to determine production requirements. Monitor finished pieces for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications. Prioritize jobs and manage production deadlines. Troubleshoot minor mechanical, tooling, and programming issues. Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC equipment. Build and maintain a job library to streamline future programming and setup. Track materials and accurately charge materials to the appropriate jobs. Work closely with production team members to maintain an efficient workflow. Assist with other shop and production responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For:
At least 1 year of hands-on CNC router operation experience . Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software. EnRoute experience strongly preferred. Experience with Flexi or other CAD/CNC software is a plus. Knowledge of sign construction, materials, and fabrication processes is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and computer skills. Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and production specifications. Strong math skills, including measurements, fractions, ratios, proportions, and geometry. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to dimensional accuracy. Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet production deadlines. Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented attitude. High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical coursework or an Associate's degree is a plus.
