3+ years exp in CNC Set-Up, Mill or Lathe, G/M code program edits, loading Position Overview A leading manufacturer of precision-engineered industrial products is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to join its growing team in Swedesboro, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and producing high-quality components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components Interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications Install tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs Load CNC programs and make minor program adjustments as needed Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments Monitor machine performance and make tooling or offset adjustments to maintain quality standards Complete production documentation and quality records Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve machining issues Qualifications CNC machining training Minimum 3 years of CNC setup and operation experience Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience reading and working with G-Code and M-Code Proficiency using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers Experience adjusting feeds, speeds, tooling, and machine offsets Ability to operate manual machining equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or apprenticeship in machining or manufacturing technology is a plus.
Physical:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods and work in a shop environment; flexible to work required shifts if needed.
