Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision metal and plastic components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code, and experience with various machining tools and measurement instruments. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining requirements. Program CNC machines utilizing CAM software and manual G-code/M-code programming techniques. Set up CNC milling machines and lathes, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters. Operate CNC equipment such as Fanuc-controlled mills and lathes with precision. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and routine maintenance to maintain optimal performance. Inspect finished parts for quality compliance using GD&T standards and measurement tools. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming errors, or machine malfunctions. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols. Support continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing practices. Experience Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CNC programming languages including G-code, M-code, and Fanuc controls. Hands-on knowledge of machining tools such as grinders, hand tools, and power tools. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar for interpreting mechanical blueprints. Experience with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for programming CNC machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications. Skilled in the use of precision measurement instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Basic math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as metal machining, plastics injection molding, welding, and assembly is advantageous. Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
