Full Job Description CNC Router & Edgebander Operator Location:
Sparks, Nevada Starting Pay:
$18-$20 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM-11:00

Full-Time About Us We are a family-owned custom cabinet company that has proudly served Northern Nevada since 1984. For over 40 years, we have built our reputation on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and taking pride in the work we produce. We are looking for a dependable and motivated CNC & Edgebander Operator to join our manufacturing team in Sparks, NV. Position Summary The CNC & Edgebander Operator is responsible for manufacturing high quality parts for cabinetry by safely operating and maintaining CNC equipment and edgebanding machinery. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently while maintaining production quality and efficiency. Our shop utilizes Biesse CNC and Biesse edgebanding equipment, and the successful candidate will be ready to learn to effectively use this equipment and become an important part of our cabinet manufacturing process. Experience in cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, CNC operation, or edgebanding is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. We are also looking for someone who wants to grow with the company. As the employee develops proficiency in CNC and edgebander operation, there will be opportunities to learn cabinet drafting, production drawings, CNC programming, and other aspects of our custom cabinet manufacturing process. Advancement and increased compensation are available as skills and responsibilities grow. Primary Responsibilities Operate Biesse CNC equipment to cut, drill, bore, and machine cabinet components. Operate Biesse edgebander to apply edge banding to cabinet components. Safely run and use Table Saw, Sander, Planer, etc. Set up and make routine adjustments to CNC and edgebanding equipment. Load and unload sheet goods and cabinet components safely and efficiently. Verify dimensions and finished parts for accuracy and quality. Read and interpret cabinet shop drawings, cut lists, measurements, and production instructions. Monitor equipment during production and identify potential mechanical or quality issues. Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate equipment problems when necessary. Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on CNC and edgebanding equipment. Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Properly label, organize, and stage completed parts for the next stage of production. Maintain production schedules and daily production goals. Safely move sheet goods and materials throughout the shop. Operate a forklift for material handling. Forklift experience is preferred, but training will be provided. Follow all company safety procedures. Work as part of a team to maintain a smooth and efficient cabinet production process. Qualifications Required:
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read a tape measure and work with precise measurements. Ability to follow production drawings and instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to safely lift and handle plywood, MDF, and other sheet goods. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on your feet throughout the workday.
Preferred:
Previous CNC operator experience. Experience operating Biesse CNC equipment. Previous edgebander experience. Cabinet manufacturing or woodworking experience. CNC programming or CAD/CAM experience. Mechanical troubleshooting experience. Experience reading cabinet shop drawings. Previous forklift experience. Forklift experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate. AM Saturday & Sunday:
Off Four-and-a-half-day workweek with Friday afternoons and weekends off.
Compensation Starting Pay:
$18-$20 per hour, depending on experience.
