$19.00 per Hour Want to learn CNC machining and manufacturing while building real parts for the off-road industry? Rock Krawler Suspension is looking for an entry-level CNC Machine Operator to join our production team in Latham, NY. This is a hands-on manufacturing position working with CNC lathes, CNC mills, bandsaws, and other shop equipment to produce components used in our suspension systems, lift kits, and shock products. Previous CNC programming experience is not required. Our programs and processes are already established. We're looking for someone dependable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and willing to learn how to run the equipment correctly and consistently. What You'll Do Operate CNC lathes and CNC mills using established programs and procedures Load raw material and remove completed parts from CNC machines Use bandsaws to cut steel and aluminum material to specified lengths Follow established setups and production instructions Measure and inspect completed parts to verify they meet specifications Use basic measuring tools to check dimensions and maintain consistent quality Monitor machines while running and identify problems or changes in part quality Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and organized Work with a small production team to meet daily manufacturing goals This Is Production Machining Rock Krawler is a production manufacturing shop , not a one-off job shop. Our machines produce many of the same components repeatedly. Your job is to follow an established process and make sure the first part, the 50th part, and the 500th part are all correct. Our CNC department produces everything from relatively simple steel suspension components to billet control arms and precision shock and coilover components. Accuracy and consistency matter. These parts ultimately become components of suspension systems that our customers install on their vehicles. What We're Looking For No CNC experience required Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools Ability to read a tape measure accurately Willingness to learn basic part inspection and measurement Strong attention to detail Ability to follow established instructions and processes Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to stay focused while performing repetitive production work Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Previous manufacturing, automotive, machine shop, or mechanical experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the entire workday Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Frequent use of hands and arms Ability to safely handle raw materials and finished components Comfortable working around CNC machines, bandsaws, metal chips, coolant, and other normal manufacturing-shop conditions
