We are looking for a skilled, reliable person to become a vital part of our production team. In this role, you will be preparing, setting up, and operating CNC machines—such as lathes and milling machines—to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in machine setup, programming, and measurement will ensure that production runs smoothly, safely, and to exact specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of precision-engineered parts for products which are used across various industries. Responsibilities Set up CNC machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper installation of tooling and fixtures. Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code, potentially incorporating CAM programming software to optimize machining processes. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements. Perform machine calibration, alignment, and adjustments using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges. Conduct quality inspections during and after machining using measurement tools to verify dimensions according to GD&T standards. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly, adjusting parameters or tooling as needed to maintain quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling manual tools, power tools, and other equipment. Requirements 3+ years proven experience with CNC setup and operation on machines such as CNC lathe and/or CNC milling machines. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code and M-code); familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks is preferred. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately for precise machining. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement tools for quality control. Familiarity with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming software to develop or modify machining programs. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining tools, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and other machining parameters. Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality assurance in manufacturing processes. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand during work shift. Join us if you're passionate about manufacturing excellence!
