Based on Experience #Lorain Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machine Operator / Set-Up Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts that meet customer and engineering specifications. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or other machining equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets as required. Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards. Conduct routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized. Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime. Accurately complete production and quality documentation. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, quality personnel, and team members to meet production goals. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Previous experience operating and setting up CNC machines. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Experience with CNC programming and editing offsets. Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens, or similar controls.
