Lathe Operator (Manual & CNC) - THIRD SHIFT Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC lathes in a precision machining environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality parts with tight tolerances, performing inspections, and maintaining equipment to meet production and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate vertical and horizontal manual and CNC lathes Perform semi-finishing and final machining operations with tolerances up to ±.002 (manual) and ±.001 (CNC) Execute turning, facing, grooving, and grinding operations Inspect parts using precision measurement tools to ensure quality standards are met Operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional accuracy Complete and maintain SPC and quality documentation Rework non-conforming materials using CNC/manual lathes and ID/OD grinding equipment Perform routine preventive maintenance tracking on machines Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Follow all safety procedures and company policies Assist in training and mentoring less experienced operators Qualifications Experience operating manual and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment Ability to hold tight tolerances and read blueprints/technical drawings Strong knowledge of inspection tools and machining processes Experience with CMM operation preferred Ability to troubleshoot and rework parts as needed Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Equipment & Tools Used CNC & Manual Lathes ID/OD Grinders and Bench Tools CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Precision Gauges and Inspection Instruments Minimum Personal Tools Required 1" Indicator with Magnetic Base 1"-2" Micrometer 6" Scale 6" Dial Caliper Why Join Us?
