Certified Tool & Grinding Location:
Dayton, Ohio | Full-Time | 1st & 2nd Shift Certified Tool & Grinding (CTG) is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with CNC equipment, solving problems, and producing highly accurate cutting tools in a manufacturing environment where quality and attention to detail matter. Our 5-Axis CNC Operators work with
ANCA CNC
grinding equipment , and related systems, to produce precision cutting tools to customer specifications. ANCA experience is highly preferred, but not required. We are willing to consider experienced CNC operators with strong machine setup, inspection, and troubleshooting skills who are capable of learning the equipment and processes. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC grinding equipment to produce precision cutting tools. Load and run established CNC programs. Make machine offsets and adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional requirements. Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Verify first-run and production parts using precision measuring equipment. Monitor machine operation and finished product quality throughout the production process. Identify dimensional, visual, or process issues and make appropriate adjustments. Recognize machine malfunctions or process abnormalities and communicate issues to the production leadership. Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures. Work cooperatively with production and management to meet customer requirements and production schedules. Participate in training and continued development of CNC machining and grinding skills. Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For Required:
Previous CNC machine operation experience. Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and written work instructions. Ability to use precision measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, conforming product. Basic math skills and the ability to make machine adjustments based on measurements. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
Experience operating
ANCA CNC
grinders. Experience with CNC tool and cutter grinding. Experience with cutting tools, carbide tooling, or precision grinding. Experience making CNC offsets and process adjustments. Machining, manufacturing, or technical training. Experience working with tight dimensional tolerances. Programming experience is not required. The primary focus of this position is setup, operation, offsets, inspection, and maintaining consistent production using established programs. Why CTG? This is more than a machine-loading position.
