$20.00 / Hr Position Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to run vertical CNC machines in a custom mold ‑ making environment . This is not a production role — each job is unique, requiring strong setup ability, problem‑solving skills, and an engineering mindset. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working closely with engineers and project managers. Key Responsibilities CNC Setup & Operation — Set up machines, indicate in blocks and vises, gather correct cutters and tool holders. Program Adjustments — Edit speeds and feeds as needed for custom mold work. Manual Machining Techniques — Apply manual machining knowledge on CNC equipment. Accuracy & Documentation — Keep data organized and maintain accurate machining information. Problem Solving — Identify issues and develop effective solutions. Engineering Mindset — Understand how components fit and function within mold assemblies. Process Learning — Quickly learn and duplicate machining processes. Communication — Work with engineers, project managers, vendors, customers, and internal team members. What Makes This Role Different Custom mold shop — no repetitive production work.
