Pay Rate:
$22- 24/hr.
Hours:
2nd shift hours: 4pm- 2am (MON-THUR / overtime possible on Fridays May need to train on 1st shift Hours
MON-THUR
6am-4pm Must have CNC "Setup" experience to be considered for position Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate any and all CNC lathes and mills in a safe and efficient manner. Callup programs and set-up tooling for CNC lathes. Edit CNC lathe programs, as necessary. Measure parts and make tool corrections as CNC lathe is running production Instruct less skilled employees in the operation or set up of any CNC lathes and mills. Perform inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments. Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, keeping equipment and production area in good working order. Ensure that correct cutting insert is used for type of material Follow instructions; written and/or verbal; from the production supervisors. Produce 100% high-quality, high-volume parts, with emphasis on reducing cycle time. Ensure that all parts are cleaned, counted, de-burred, assembled and handled properly. Comply with and support all aspects of the companys quality management program. Inventory and document tooling and inserts. Skills and Experience Technical College or Equivalent Experience 1+ years of experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills and manual milling equipment Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and product specifications. Ability to use gages and measuring instruments such as micrometer calipers, etc. Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel within operation. Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. Ability to perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Reading, math, and communication skills equivalent to a high school education and one or more years of related experience, or equivalent.Preferred Skills:
Language Skills- Good communication skills are key. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills
