Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable CNC Machine Operator for a contract opportunity in Cleveland, OH. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined manufacturing professional with hands-on CNC experience who takes pride in producing quality parts, following clear work instructions, and contributing to a safe, organized production environment. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will support daily production by setting up and operating CNC equipment, monitoring machine performance, inspecting parts, and completing required production documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to work orders, drawings, and production requirements.
- Load parts, cycle machines through production runs, and monitor equipment for malfunctions or worn tooling.
- Deburr, de-gate, polish, package, and move completed parts according to established router steps.
- Inspect parts for quality, minimize scrap, and ensure finished production meets customer specifications and deadlines.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and communicate with team members regarding production runs and operational needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following 5S standards, safety procedures, and continuous improvement practices. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate:
$19 to $20 per hour.Job Type:
3 month contract with possible extension or hire.Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.Location:
Cleveland, OH 44130. Required Qualifications and Skills- Set up and operate CNC machinery for production runs.
- Load parts, monitor machine cycles, and identify machine or tooling issues.
- Use hand tools to finish parts and prepare completed production for the next process.
- Maintain quality, safety, documentation, and 5S standards throughout the shift.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum 6 months of CNC machine operation experience required.
- Ability to speak and understand English.
- Intermediate computer and math skills.
- Ability to accurately measure parts and follow work orders, drawings, and written instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC programming and robot operations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in above-ambient temperatures.
- Strong attendance, reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to identify, communicate, and escalate production or equipment issues appropriately. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC lathes or CNC mills.
- Strong manufacturing background with the ability to quickly learn CNC operations.
- Experience using hand tools for deburring, polishing, de-gating, or finishing parts.
- Familiarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices.
