Job Description

Weldon Pump, a Cleveland area company with over 80 years of manufacturing, is seeking and entry to some experience Level Machine Operator willing to learn to and assist with producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities:
Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Experienced at reading and interpreting work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Experienced at setting up some, but not necessarily all, and operate mills, lathes, and EDM. Capable of continuous mental and visual attention, usually repetitive work or diversified operation requiring constant alertness or activity. Caple of setting up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting two-,three-, and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; etc. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Mechanical aptitude with good physical dexterity Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs Attention to detail Basic computer knowledge
Preferred Skills:
