Swiss CNC Machine Operator - Winchester

We are continuing to grow rapidly and are currently seeking a Swiss CNC Machine Operator on our 1st shift. 1st Shift - M-Th, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, plus any overtime on Friday. Pay will vary, depending on experience

Position Summary:

Set up and operate Swiss Lathe screw machine(s) equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock. Monitor machinery for any problems during the production run, positions work pieces, and inspects parts to print on a daily basis using various types of inspection equipment.

Education :

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

General Requirements:

Must maintain an excellent attendance record. Must have a general understanding of ISO and its process within the company. Must have an understanding of the machining process. Must be able to position and secure tools in tool holders. Must be able to set cutting speeds and feed rates. Must be able to move control to cycle machine through settings, stopping machine and adjusting tool positions and machine controls to allow for operating factors such as timing, clearance between moving parts, and chip removal. Must be able to run parts to print on a daily basis. Must be able to read and interpret complex part drawings. Must be able to read and interpret dimensions and tolerances. Must be able to use and read micrometers and dial calipers accurately as well as other measuring equipment necessary (ex. Vision systems, comparators, height gages). Must be able to position and secure specified collets, bushings, and stock pushers onto stock feeding mechanism and load bar stock into feeding mechanism. Must be competent in inspection and first piece inspections.
