Multi-Axis CNC Machining Specialist Barracuda Staffing & Consulting Catoosa, OK Job Details $20 - $26 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Blueprint specification interpretation Math Milling machines Full Job Description Shape precision parts in Tulsa as a Multi-Axis CNC Machining Specialist When your shift starts at 3:00 PM, you'll step onto a clean, organized production floor at a Tulsa manufacturing company with multiple openings. After a brief handoff, you'll review prints and work instructions, plan out your workholding and tooling, and get your machines humming. Training will occur on an alternate shift before you transition to the regular schedule.

Pay:
$20-$26 per hour What your day looks like Engineer your setup: determine fixtures, attachments, and tooling, and mount them for optimal rigidity and accuracy Partner with engineers and supervisors to align on specifications; recommend design tweaks when existing plans aren't feasible Load programs to the machine control, make edits as needed, and dial in feeds, speeds, and cutter paths for precision Run production: actively monitor the cut, adjust offsets and parameters on the fly, and prevent errors before they become scrap Manage machine health: watch spindle/machine temperatures, allow proper warm-up and cool-down between jobs, and handle coolant changes Verify quality: interpret cutting plans, perform in-process checks, and inspect finished parts for accuracy and uniformity Protect uptime: perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance—lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement What you bring 5+ years of recent CNC experience on mills and lathes Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions Proven skill in complete setups, program edits, and running multiple machines at once Excellent math skills with strong measurement and metrology fundamentals Track record of working safely while meeting deadlines and throughput goals Creative problem-solver with solid troubleshooting and critical thinking Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, stoop, and reach for the duration of the shift Candidates must own their own tools Core proficiencies Reading a tape measure with confidence CNC machine setup and changeover Precision measurement and hand metrology Setting up machines for production runs Machines & technologies you'll touch CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) CNC Lathe (5+ axis) Bring your experience and pride in craftsmanship—help us deliver consistent, high‑quality parts on every run.
