Job Description

- -Set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes
- Build and perform machine setups, including fixture installation, tooling setup, work holding, and work offset establishment
- Verify programs and perform prove-outs for new machining processes and first-run parts
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Inspect first-article and production parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Monitor machine operation and adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, tooling, and cutting parameters to maintain part quality and efficiency
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, material, program, and process-related issues
- Load, align, and secure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces using appropriate lifting equipment, including overhead cranes when required
- Maintain production records and communicate machining or programming issues to supervisors and support personnel
- Perform routine machine maintenance, housekeeping, and equipment care
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor less-experienced machinists as needed Qualifications type="disc
- -High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience; greater experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Ability to independently perform machine setups and operate CNC machining equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Proficiency using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as required Preferred Qualifications type="disc
- -3+ years of CNC machining experience
- Experience performing first-article inspections and machining process prove-outs
- Trade school certification or technical education in machining or manufacturing technology. Work Shift (DAYS) Monday-Thursday, 6:00am
