Job Duties Set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes Build and perform machine setups, including fixture installation, tooling setup, work holding, and work offset establishment Verify programs and perform prove-outs for new machining processes and first-run parts Read and interpret blueprints Inspect first-article and production parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Monitor machine operation and adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, tooling, and cutting parameters to maintain part quality and efficiency Troubleshoot machine, tooling, material, program, and process-related issues Load, align, and secure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces using appropriate lifting equipment, including overhead cranes when required Maintain production records and communicate machining or programming issues to supervisors and support personnel Perform routine machine maintenance, housekeeping, and equipment care Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor less-experienced machinists as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience; greater experience may be considered in lieu of formal education Ability to independently perform machine setups and operate CNC machining equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Proficiency using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as required Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of CNC machining experience Experience performing first-article inspections and machining process prove-outs Trade school certification or technical education in machining or manufacturing technology. Work Shift (DAYS) Monday-Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
