Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Operator and become a vital contributor to precision sheet metal fabrication. In this role, you will operate and maintain CNC Lathe or Mills, ensuring high-quality production of metal components. Duties Compute dimensions and machine settings using knowledge of metal properties Confer with engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods Analyze work orders, drawings, prints, and other data and then perform all necessary calculations Write programs or modify existing programs Ensure that the machines and programs operate correctly and that products meet specifications Sequence automatic machine operations and select cutting tools Employ critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems Provide first product run quality inspection, measurement and fit for use Provide operator training on first part production runs Requirements Two (2) years of experience running CNC Lathes or Milling machines Ability to read prints and drawings Ability to employ critical thinking and basic math skills to solve problems Knowledge of machine parameters and cutting characteristics Computer skills, including programming Strong communication and close attention to detail Physical Requirements and Work Environment Lift 50+ lbs Safely perform work duties Work environment is indoors, at a moderate noise level. PPE according to specifications is provided Exposure to dust and equipment fumes
